Answers to common questions about booking, pricing, pick-ups, and what to expect on your tour.

Do you pick up and drop off at the cruise terminal?

Yes - we offer pick-up and drop-off directly at the cruise terminal.

Will your guide know which port we'll arrive at?

We recommend checking with your cruise ship's concierge the day before for the exact port and address, then letting us know. Your guide will meet you there.

How will I recognise my guide?

Your guide will be holding a board with your name.

What's included in the price of the tour?

Your tour price includes your driver-guide, the vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking charges, insurance, and complimentary bottled Scottish water.

Are tours available all year round?

Yes, we operate all year round, though there are fewer departures during winter due to weather conditions.

Can children come on the tour?

Yes - we can provide child seats, or you're welcome to bring your own.

Will I get confirmation when I book?

Yes, you'll receive instant confirmation and a receipt for your booking.

Will other people join our tour?

No - all of our tours are private, so your group will be the only guests on board.

How much luggage can I bring?

For day tours, we recommend no more than a small hold-all or rucksack per guest.

Do I need to bring my own meals?

Our guides can recommend eateries along the way, and you're also welcome to bring your own snacks or meals.

Can I charge my phone in the vehicle?

Yes - our vehicles are equipped with charging cables compatible with most devices.

Is there a minimum age for the tour?

There's no minimum age, though the longer, winding routes may not suit babies or toddlers. Booster seats are available on request.

How many guests can travel together?

Each tour is private, with a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle (Mercedes-Benz Vito).

Why are tour prices a flat rate?

Pricing is based on the vehicle and guide, not the number of guests - so whether you travel as 2 or 7, the price stays the same.

How far in advance should I book?

We accept bookings up to 12 months ahead and sometimes as late as the day before, but tours sell out quickly so we recommend booking early.

What insurance do you have?

Every tour includes comprehensive public liability and commercial vehicle insurance.

Can I bring pets?

Support animals are welcome on board, though we ask that they remain on the floor of the vehicle.

Do you pick up from hotels in Edinburgh?

Yes - we collect and return guests from their Edinburgh hotel, cruise port, or the airport.

Cancellation Policy

Fully refundable up to 7 days before the tour begins. After this period we may offer rescheduling, subject to availability, and a refund will only be given if we can find a replacement booking.
